The Sensorcom BB-129 "Bang Buster" has been designed to be used in high noise environments and especially where high noise peaks may occur such as with gun use or machinery. As a generic fitting, the BB-129 is available for left or right ear fitting and incorporates a microphone, earphone driver with volume control and an ultra-fast compression system with a "brick-wall" output limiter restricting the transmitted output to 85dB regardless of the ambient noise levels. The highly sophisticated audio processing used in the BB129 has a wide dynamic range and will respond to low level signal when using a telephone or engaging in whispered conversation as well as very loud noises without saturation distortion. Supplied with soft-silicon ear-tip which can be adjusted to suit all ear sizes, these exclude up to 30dB of ambient noise when properly fitted and are easily cleaned with warm soapy water. The A312 battery will operate for up to 80 hours (depending on type of use) and is easily changed using the swing-tray which doubles as the on/off switch. The BB129 can be used singly, with a regular foam or silicon ear plug or in pairs where it is important that every noise detail is heard and to minimise disorientation effects which may occur when listening with one ear. |

Custom Fit Option For professional and long term users, a custom fit version of the Bang Buster is available. This is made in our laboratories from an impression taken from the users ear. The custom fit option increases comfort and adds to the discretion of the fit. This is a simple process and is fully described in the Audiology section of this web site. The additional cost for this option is not great and if the user is to wear this device for more than two hours at a time the increased comfort levels are considerable. |
